We love children and young people at Avenue and we are committed to “telling the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the LORD” (Psalm 78:4).

Faithful Bible teaching
Teaching the Bible (all of it!) to children and young people in a way that is appropriate for their age and understanding.
Partnership with parents and families
We want to partner with parents in discipling their children and young people by helping them learn about Jesus.
Best practice safeguarding
Motivated by God’s character and concern for the vulnerable, we seek to ensure all of our ministries are safe places to learn about Jesus. Find out more about safeguarding at Avenue.
Sharing the gospel and our lives with children and young people
Through teams of volunteers who teach, pray for, and model to the next generation what it means to trust in Jesus in our daily lives.
Above all, we love children at Avenue because Jesus loves children (see Mark 10:13-16) – and so we seek to love them the way Jesus first loved us.
Children
Sunday Club
EYFS – Year 6, Sunday mornings
During our Sunday services there are groups for Primary School aged children: Sunday Club.
It is led by DBS-checked leaders from the church family and offers time to get to know one another, play games, and hear a true story from the Bible, exploring together what that means for our lives.
Once a month, all children stay in the whole service during which there are activities for children during the service.
Ace
Years 3-6, Thursday evenings
Come along to learn about Jesus and His amazing love for us through games, Bible stories, fun, and plenty of running around!
Ace usually runs from 18:30 to 19:45 on Thursdays for children in school years 3–6 at Avenue Primary School. It is led by DBS-checked leaders and any child who would like to attend is welcome, regardless of belief or none.
Youth

Years 7-13, Sunday evenings
Source usually runs from 18:00 to 19:30 on Sunday nights for children and teens in school years 7–13. It is led by DBS-checked leaders and any teen who would like to attend is welcome, regardless of belief or none.
It’s a time for games, space to talk, ask questions, and enjoy life together as we explore the Bible and consider what it means for us today.
